SHOW: is Year One Consulting’s cash prize, encouraging Kent-based artistes to showcase the talent Kent has to offer to the rest of the country. Each year the SHOW: prize helps the winner to take their work to a festival outside the region. In 2010 SHOW:EDINBURGH enabled innovative community arts performers Beady Eye to take their radically experimental theatre piece “Senior Moments” to the Edinburgh’s Forest Fringe. In 2011 the SHOW:BRIGHTON fund supported Theatre Rheo to take their powerful physical theatre production of “Antigone” to the Brighton Festival Fringe. In 2012 the SHOW: prize headed back to Edinburgh and was awarded to Little Cauliflower to take their children’s show “The Machine” to the Pleasance as part of Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival. The 2014 SHOW: prize was awarded to White Slate Theatre who, following their success at the National Student Drama Festival, took their new play, “Your Fragrant Phantom”, to C Cubed, Riddle’s Court as part of Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival. In 2016 the SHOW: prize supported Dan Simpson in taking his one man show Artificial Ineloquence to the Edinburgh Fringe.
